Camels Hump Woodworking and the shop have only been in existence a short time, but both have been a long time dream.  We craft and finish each item to meet the request of the buyer and do so with the hope that each piece will become a heirloom.

 

The finish on each piece is chosen by the intended use and by the customers preference. Three coats of water base clear lacquer is usually the choice for kitchen cabinets, table tops and other pieces that need maximum protection from water and stain. Multiple coats of hand rubbed oil which produces a deep rich finish are typically preferred on furniture such as book cases and chests that do not  require the hard durable protection that lacquer provides.
